Type: Close Up
Habitat: River
Natural History: The Indian River is a community improvement project agreed upon by the hydroelectric corporation to secure community support. It is a four season trail. The trail includes a instinct and working sandstone quarries, log boom anchors, and remnants of the Hannawa-Potsdam RailRoad which was used to transport lumber in the past.
Interest: This photo was interesting to me because the prevalence of the red tip of the tree. I would like to think it is because the weather is finally warming.

Interesting thought about the buds being red due to spring. This, however, is an American Beech tree and it has these slender, beautiful buds all winter. Soon though they will open! Very distinctive though.
