White Tailed Deer
While up for an early morning walk, I saw a female white tailed deer walking through a field.
Red Fox
While driving home at the end of the day, we saw a red fox run across the road.
Black Raspberry
You can find black raspberries all over the North Country. They are also called black caps.
Milkweed
There are multiple milkweed plants growing in our yard. They are great places for Monarch Butterflies to lay their eggs.
Common Redpoll
A flock of close to 100 redpolls continually showed up at a bird feeder and continued to do so for the next several weeks
Hummingbird Clearwing Moth
I saw the moth in the garden at my house. It mimics a bumblebee.
Eastern American Toad
I saw one toad while walking outside at night, and the other at mid-day.
Common Whitetail Skimmer
Male dragonfly has distinctive blueish white tail and black wing stripes. Female is mainly brown with similar wing pattern and white spots on the sides of the tail segments.
Northern Damselfly
My family was walking through a bog near Sevey's Corners, and we found a Northern Damselfly.
