Early Morning Duck Hunt
It was a cool, crisp morning on the Chaumont River in October. I waited for over an hour for my husband to return from duck hunting for this picture.
Gothics South Face (Original Route 5.4)-2016
Eleven hours of hiking and climbing makes for a fantastic day. Welcome to technical climbing on Gothics' South Face. This is the Original Route circa 1800s rated 5.4.
South Pond a natural wonder
South Pond - Loon exploring the entire water expanse - north, south, east and west! - Osprey calling from up high in their treetop nest. Three canoeists - Page, Dylan and Ryann - join their Dad, Connie Perry and friends.
Last one standing
Driving along the St. Lawrence between Massena and Waddington..one man standing out on the ice despite serious spring melt and even some open water between him and the shore...does that seem like a good idea?
Kayak, waterlillies and bare feet
Rented kayaks at the Parishville Town Beach. I think it was the last day they were open. Such a wonderful place to paddle and enjoy the last of summer.
Feeding Chickadees/Cinderella Moment
This was taken on the Nature Center trails at Robert Moses State Park in Massena NY. Chickadees are brave there - willing to eat out of your hand. Chickadee feet are light and funny feeling.
