People in Nature

A dock built for two!

A beautiful morning! Can you see Colvin, Blake and Sawteeth? Three of my favorite Adirondack 46ers.

What on Elm!

What a privilege it is to not have Friday classes! I went for a morning stroll after a delicious breakfast which took me to Avenue of the Elms. This was the first time in 4 years at St. Lawrence I had not run by without taking a deep breathe and a closer look at the environment. I took note of the beautiful morning sunlight streaming through the trees and the dew on the grass between my toes. I spotted an unusual and unfamiliar spiny plant and went to snap a picture to reference in order to identify the unknown species back in my room.

Where does this train track take you?

I took this picture on my way home from Lake Placid. I love how the train track just keep on going on to some destination. I was amazed by the colors and the blue sky.

Brant Lake Bliss

A misty morning with a baby that slept through the night and an early morning cup of joe with the lake all to myself. Swimming, cooking and hanging with friends just what the soul needs.

Polyphemus

We found the caterpillar on 9/28/15, it overwintered in its cocoon and emerged on July 2, 2016. We found a second caterpillar in South Colton on 8/1/16 and it made a cocoon that night. Waiting to see when it will emerge!

Beach Bliss

A beautiful day at the beach celebrating warm weather and summer freedom.

Riverside Lunch Guest

Showing my daughter the lean-to I proposed to her mother at. Taken away by Sandy or Irene and is now a revegetation area, sad that the lean-to is gone but amazing that the difference in landscape since the storms went through is so drastic.
