Lake

Mamma, Pappa and baby makes three

After mamma called for mate, soon the pappa popped up and helped her feed the baby. Wonderful experience.

Sunset on Cedar Lake

It was breathtaking, God's work for sure!

Redwing Blackbird

The only other human around was my fellow kayaker, everything was still and calm. This male Redwing Blackbird and his mate appear to have decided that we were to close as they both showed themselves and got quite vocal. A couple photos during a few moments enjoying the sight of them and we moved on, thinking a nest might be near.

Osprey Mobbing and Eagle

We were taking the new boat for a run about the lake. The eagle(s) have been around more and this time I was alerted to its presence by the shriek of the osprey. In the end, the eagle left as it was obvious hunting was not going to be an option.

Blue-eyed Grass

Just wandering around, enjoying the walk and was gifted with the sight of this small beauty.

White Bog Violet

A sunny day, kayaking around the lake. There were small hillocks at one end of the lake. Once in close, I found this Bog Violet... my first encounter with this particular violet.

Sunset on Lower Saranac Lake

Every sunset is different but having reflection on the water gives it even more depth.

Loon calling mate with baby on board

Attending a retreat at Guggenheim Lodge on Lower Saranac Lake I was able to photograph a family of loons. So amazing to witness and even more rewarding able to get some photographs.
