Habitat: Forest Area

Natural History: trail system also offers a unique variety of topography, woodlands, and tree plantations. Many different types of birds, plants, and wildlife can be viewed along an over 12 mile long trail. Dramatic rapids in this section of the river flow over waterfalls creating gorges, rock islands, overhanging cliffs, and potholes.

Interest: At first I thought this was debris, caused by some of the winter conditions. However, when the professor pointed out why this was a porcupine track was quite interesting. Looking at the arrangement below the tree, the marks on the tree, it was clearly porcupine tracking marks.
