Habitat: Forested area

Natural History: trail system also offers a unique variety of topography, woodlands, and tree plantations. Many different types of birds, plants, and wildlife can be viewed along an over 12 mile long trail. Dramatic rapids in this section of the river flow over waterfalls creating gorges, rock islands, overhanging cliffs, and potholes.

Interest: I was able to spot this very easily, one, and secondly, the woodpecker holes provde a nice design along the tree. However, with so much damage done to the tree, I wonder how much protection it can really provide.
