Winter Through the Window

Pets and people encounter nature in their own ways. On this day my son and our cat Spazz seemed to be musing about the winter world outside. Both are sharing the moment in the comfort and warmth of home.

In the last picture, Rylee, our retriever, bit bull mix who has very thin fur, wants to go out for walks even on cold winter days. But she needs to "suit up" to be comfortable when she is out for any lengthy time in the winter. She tolerates the preparation but clearly feels her dignity is compromised in the outfit. Once outside she returns to her happy self and enjoys the wide, white world. She loves to eat snow all along the way as we walk together.
