Season

Winter Owl

Beautiful Snowy Owl on top of a tree in the middle of a field.

Scenes from 4 seasons @ Trout Lake

Wondering who is looking for the Pot O' Gold across the lake.

Where does this train track take you?

I took this picture on my way home from Lake Placid. I love how the train track just keep on going on to some destination. I was amazed by the colors and the blue sky.

Fall Fireworks on Route 24

Gorgeous fall foliage seen while driving on Route 24 towards Lampson Falls; Just had to stop and take some pictures; Colorful like fall fireworks!

Citizen Science Day Hike

It was a beautiful day to celebrate citizen science on a hike with Nature Up North at Indian Creek Nature Center. We saw a lot of wildlife, including frogs, snow geese, ducks, and several types of plants. We also heard a number of different birds, like woodpeckers and chickadees.

View of Big Tupper from the Village of Tupper Lake

I took this photo while driving back to St. Lawrence University from my home in southern New York because I always notice the snowy trails in the winter when driving through Tupper Lake, and the weather today was gorgeous! You'll notice that there is no snow in the town though. Big Tupper is a volunteer-run ski area in Tupper Lake. I skied there last year and it has some really cool terrain! Plus a lift ticket is only $20 - you can't beat that at any other mountain! Unfortunately Bug Tupper is not open this season, but will hopefully be operating again with more snow next season.

Black Berries!

Berries are getting close to being ready!

Striking Leprechauns!

There had been a really bad storm that passed through and I happened to catch this double rainbow with a lightening strike sandwich in between!
