River
Early Morning Duck Hunt
It was a cool, crisp morning on the Chaumont River in October. I waited for over an hour for my husband to return from duck hunting for this picture.
Great Blue Heron on the Ausable River
A different kind of fisherman on the Ausable River.
Icy Waters
The icy cold Racquette River in Colton sure is pretty during breakup!
Great Blue
One of my favorite birds, the great blue heron. They are majestic and appear prehistoric. Simply beautiful!
Blue Reflections
I have been trying to get pictures of the Blue Herons that live on the Chaumont River for three summers, but they usually are very skittish and fly away into the woods before you can get close enough to them. This particular Saturday, my husband, myself and our Australian Cattle Dog, Talia went for a long boat ride in our little 12 foot boat up the Chaumont River from our cottage. This particular heron let us motor right up to him and then kept hopping from driftwood to driftwood all the way up the river.
Swan Family in Goose Bay
The swan family that is often seen in our Bay came over to visit today. The babies have now grown into gangly teenagers, all seven of them!
On the Edge
