Merlin kept picking up the song of the Cerulean Warbler. I kept looking and finally spotted the beautiful little warbler in a the lush leaves of a basswood tree. I could not get a clear photo and almost gave up, happy to have just spotted this somewhat rare visitor to our area. Then I heard him again as I walked away from the lake. There up high in a dead tree I finally spotted him. I was able to get a series of photos. What a good start to my day.
