I brought my camera out on a short trip to the lower lake dam, as it had been one of the few spots with open water recently.
I got some quick pictures of some of the swans and merganser that have been residing there for the past month or so.
But it wasn't until I looked at the pictures did I see the ice formations behind the birds and realized I could have focused on them and gotten some interesting images.

There is always tomorrow I suppose.
