Join us for the first edition of our summer 2026 Community Paddle series! Every other week we meet at the Little River boat launch on outer Park St. at 6:30 for a paddle on the Little and Grasse Rivers with a lesson on nature we see along the way! Life jackets, paddles, and boats are all provided for free.

This paddle is themed around the different birds we hope to see along the Little River! You are encouraged to bring binoculars, towels, and clothes you don't mind getting wet. We'll start with some boat safety and equipment, cover common bird calls we expect to hear, then set out to see how many different species we can find! Evening is prime bird hunting time, so we expect them to be out and flying over the open water looking for insects to eat.
