Campfire: Fire-Making with Len Mackey

Event date and time
June 6, 2019 - 7:00 PM to June 6, 2019 - 9:00 PM

Join us to celebrate summer with our first community campfire! You’re invited to help light the fire using traditional fire-starting methods.  Guest Len Mackey will be joining us for an interactive evening learning the Earth's oldest ways of making fire with hand or bow drill.

The campfire will be held at the Wachtmeister Field Station at the south end of the SLU campus in Canton. To get there, proceed south down Park St. approx. 1/4 mile past the campus athletic fields. The drive will be on the left coming from the SLU campus and right if coming from Route 27. This event is family friendly, with a $5 suggested donation for adults. Students and youth are free.
