Arbor Day Ash Tree Survey - Remington Trail

Event date and time
April 27, 2018 - 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Join us to celebrate Arbor Day by mapping Ash Trees on Remmington Recreational Trail in Canton. Bikers and walkers of all ages welcome!

The Community Ash Tree Survey is a citizen science project in which community members survey the location and status of ash trees across St. Lawrence County in response to the arrival of the invasive emerald ash borer beetle (Agrilus planipennis; EAB) in 2017.

We need your help! By participating, you will help us create a digital map of ash trees in the North Country. This map will allow us to monitor trees for EAB infestation and implement preventative measures or removal infected trees that threaten human infrastructure.

The survey is digital, and extra tablets will be provided at the event.
