Type: Movement
Habitat Description: Stone Valley Trail follows a river near the town of colton. This trail has a mixture of river and forest ecology.
Natural History Information: The Stone Valley Trail head located near colton and parishville offers an opportunity for hiking, cross country skiing, nature study, and historical exploration. Dramatic rapids at this part of the river flow over waterfalls creating gorges, overhanging cliffs, and fascinating potholes. The stone valley trail also offers a variety of topography, woodlands, and tree plantations.
Interest: I found this photo particularly interesting because the way that the snow collected over the top of the waterfall. Finding such a private, yet unique environmental opportunity, has become somewhat rare in this day and age. The collection of snow and water created a perfect photo opportunity.
