Mano v Marmot - The staredown

Our first staredown was when it was in the grass.

So I figured if it was going to stay around, I would get my camera.

When I came back out, it ran to the side of the woodshed and we had another staredown.

After a while, it got comfortable and moved to the side of the log.

Another 10 minutes of Mano v Marmot continued.

He took a quick break and scurried off to the grass behind the shed to eat about 3 pounds of lawn lettuce and decided it was a final staredown battle.

This time it decided to get comfortable and just laid on top of my logs.

I have to admit, 10 more minutes of this and I started getting hypnotized, so I went inside.

For the past hour or so, it's been wandering around chewing my lawn down.

I admit defeat.
