Movement: Water, Indian Creek, Red Sandstone Trail

This picture was taken on a beautiful sunny day in Potsdam, NY of part of Indian Creek. Our Natural World class was doing a reflective writing assignment within the wetlands along the creek. Some animals seen that day included red squirrels, crows and black-capped chickadees, who were all chattering up in the Beech, Black Cherry and Maple trees. The area was still quite snowy but small animals tracks (perhaps cottontail rabbit) were seen. Efforts are being made throughout the North Country to maintain the natural beauty of other parts of Indian Creek just like this. I thought the deep blue water looked so clean and striking against the snow and the very clear sky that day. It was so bright and (slightly) warm!
