North Country explorer from Altoona, Pennsylvania
We were preparing the General Biology TAs for next week's aquatic lab where we have our students use a Van Doren sampler, a zooplankton net, and a dissolved oxygen probe in lab to collect ecological data to compare SLU's artificial wetland and a nearby beaver pond (which is a little further away, on the Kip Tract).
I have been taking photos of some of activities that GB does in lab, but I like to capture the wildlife and biodiversity as well for future GB lectures (and for some photography practice, too!).
I love that you can see the nectar guide on this Queen Anne's lace specimen. :)
Look very closely and you will see a dragonfly. I couldn't get closer to him and I was using a prime lens so this was as good as it was going to get.
