Reflections of Solitude

In order to take this shot, my boyfriend and I had to scale the side of Sugar Creek Falls. At the top of the falls and crossing over Sugar River I noticed a concrete dam that was containing the river and reducing the rivers flow prior to tumbling over the falls. Standing in the overflow and looking up river the water appeared to be completely still even though we could hear the water barreling down the falls behind us. All sound seemed to be drowned out except for the falls, giving the environment a meditative state. The reflection of the foliage in the water moved in perfect harmony with the world around it.
