Giant Silk Moth

We spotted this giant silk moth (Antheraea polyphemus) hanging out on eves of the Wachtmeister Field Station at St. Lawrence this morning. A larger moth common in this area and across the country, these guys are a fun find. And bigger than they look! This one had about a 5-6 inch wingspan.
