Migrating Waterfowl

The Vertebrate Natural History class got to spend their time in lab observing migrating waterfowl, casting animal tracks, practicing mapping skills, and much more! The photos show Lower Pond taken from the observation deck. Believe it or not, there are Canadian Geese present in the photo, but they are almost impossible to see. The next photo was taken though a spotting scope using 60X magnification, in which you can see the geese. The Indian Creek nature center is a gorgeous area, and is a great place to watch for migrating waterfowl!
