Walking back from observing a ritual for my religion class, I was quite annoyed with being cold and everything being frozen, but that's the North Country for yah! Anyway...as I was about to turn the corner, I saw this white pine tree which looked like the ice princess had casted a spell on. White pines are usually large and native to North America. The Iroquois nation call it the tree of peace. It can grow in bogs and rocky highlands but it prefers cool humid climates. One can tell a white cone apart from other coniferous trees because of its five needdles. I find this image interesting because of the small cone in the middle of the needles.
