Projects
Community Water Monitoring
MOW the Grasse (Monitoring our Water) is a community-based water sampling project on the Grasse River.
North Country Wild
Many animals share the North Country with us. However, not much research has been done to study wildlife in our region. The team at Nature Up North is working with members of our community to learn more about the animals around us.
Monitor My Maple
Monitor My Maple is our flagship citizen science project.
Residents volunteer to observe and record seasonal changes (also called phenological changes) in local maple trees.
Test Project: Northern NY Vernal Pool Watch
This is a fake project for testing purposes. Each spring, temporary wetlands known as vernal pools come alive with the activity of frogs, salamanders, and fairy shrimp.
